New Event Technology Debuts September 2012 | Air Graffiti Virtual Photo Wall
I am interested in ISES member feedback on a hot new event technology that combines multiple cutting edge technologies to create an interactive photo event technology like no other. I will explain in more detail below but if you prefer the visual method there is a video on our website site at:
www.AirGraffitiDallas.com
.
Air Graffiti starts with a 6' X 10' High Definition rear projection screen and interactive short throw projector.
The basic system uses Infrared incorporated into spray paint cans to give guest the look and feel of spraying paint on a wall. The paint will even run if held in one place s bit to long. Colors are endless and there are cool features for the less art savvy like Digital stencils that allow you to create some very creative art. Once complete then you can share it on facebook or via email right from the event as well as get a lab quality print of the final creation.
But that is just the beginning:
Add to that the ability to take group photos and have the photo instantly be transferred to the screen via wi-fi. From there you can grab your digital spray paint and stencils and have some fun!
But that's not all:
Using the screen as a backdrop for the event photo's you can use it like a green screen (it does not really have to be green. Works just as well with a white screen.) Select from over 1,500 backgrounds that includes magazine covers, nature scenes and special holiday collections. After selecting your background you can if you desire use the Digital spray paint to add your own originality, then share via facebook or email.
The technology works across many types of events. Parties, Weddings, corporate events, and fund raisers to name just a few.
The technology was recently used with the product launch party for a new car. an image of a white car was on the screen for guest to interact with using the digital spray paint. Whatever was painted on the card was projected realtime in HD to a car at the event. It made a indelible impression on the guest as they interacted with a small car that otherwise might not have garnered a second glance.
This technology is available in the Dallas Ft. Worth area in September 2012.
For special events we are working with local graffiti artist to use the technology a few minutes each hour of the event to create graffiti art with the theme of the event, than autograph printed copies of the work for the guests.
It should be fun!
What is your opinion? What are the challenges you see that I might have missed.
FYI - It does require a sizable area approximately 10 x 10 minimum and10 X 15 optimum. Likely not an issue for larger events but something to keep in mid for smaller events.
I welcome your comments:
